The dry cleaning process involves several key steps to clean clothes without using water. Here’s a breakdown of the process:

1. Inspection & Tagging
   Each garment is inspected for stains, damages, or special care requirements. A tag is attached to the item for identification.

2. Pre-Treatment
   Visible stains are pre-treated using special chemicals or solvents to help break down the stains before the main cleaning process.

3. Cleaning
   Clothes are placed in a large machine where they are cleaned with a solvent (commonly perchloroethylene or hydrocarbon), not water. The machine agitates the clothes gently to remove dirt and oils.

4. Extraction
   After cleaning, the solvent is drained, and the clothes are spun to remove excess solvent, much like a regular washing machine spins out water.

5. Drying
   The clothes are dried in a low-heat, air-circulating system that evaporates the solvent, leaving the clothes completely dry.

6. Post-Spotting
   After drying, any remaining stains are treated with spot-cleaning methods, including steam or additional solvent application.

7. Finishing
   Finally, garments are pressed or steamed to remove wrinkles and restore their shape, and then they are carefully folded or hung for return to the customer.
